Design Museum announce opening plans
20 March 2016
We were thrilled to hear this week that the Design Museum has released the date for opening in their new site in the former Commonwealth Institute in Kensington, now set to open in November this year.
We had the privilege of working with the museum on the first strategies and concepts for the project: between 2012 and 2014 we led the content and interpretation strategy for the successful Heritage Lottery Fund bid, working with a thrilling team including John Pawson Architects and Studio Myerscough as the complex project found its feet. Our relationship continues to this day with Daniel sitting on their curatorial committee – so it goes beyond professional interest at this stage – we’re rooting for them! November here we come…
Including some amazing imagery.
WHAT WE DO
We’ve curated exhibitions, delivered activity programmes and publications, and shaped the purpose and identity of the organisations and institutions that house them.
Facing uncertain futures, we’ve been speculating about cities and high streets, museums and shops, communities, work and education.
We’ve designed workshops and facilitated conversations, enabling big, complex and/or diverse groups of people articulate and shape their ideas
We create tools, formats and programmes, that motivate and inspire learners to unlock their potential and shift their horizons
